GUIDANCE IN MOTION

The promise, "Lo I am with you always (Matt 28:20),"is preceded by the command, "Go."

The promise, "You shall find rest for your souls (Matt 11:28)," is preceded by the command, "Come."

We cannot expect the Lord to lift us out of our chairs and carry us in his purpose if all we are willing to do is sit and dream our dreams.

"Go, wash in the pool of Siloam"...

So he went and washed and came back seeing.

John 9

The presence of the Lord is known to those who act on his word.

The peace of the Lord visits those who answer his call with their own two feet.

The power of the Lord comes to rest on those who obey the command, "Go."

And as he entered a certain village, he was met by ten lepers who stood at a distance and lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" When he saw them he said to hem, "Go show yourselves to the priests." And as they went they were cleansed.

Luke 17

Those who wait for "guidance" when they have already heard the Lord's command to action---

---will wait forever.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it-he will be blessed in what he does.
James 1:22-24
